| Pacific/Hoe's
Shreveport, Louisiana branch has recently completed a
5,000 square foot expansion to their facility. The added space will allow them to keep a
larger inventory of Pacific/Hoe products on hand for faster delivery throughout the
Mid-South region. A new diesel truck has been purchased to handle route sales from east
Texas to Mississippi.
Shreveport operates as a full-service facility. Branch Manager Don Amos
says, "You buy factory direct, but with all the service you'd expect from a
distributor. We deliver, install and service your Pacific/Hoe products"
As a service center, Shreveport
specializes in repair and service of knives and large saws. alloy tipping is done on
sight. Shreveport will also be the regional Mid-south Service Center for Jacobsen
Manufacturing Company's filing room equipment.
Training programs offering the
latest in installation and operation of filing room equipment are also available. The
experienced team at Pacific/Hoe is also available for trouble-shooting. "We're in the
business of giving customers the service they need, supplying quality products, and
bringing those products right to your door," says Amos. "We give you the support
that keeps you running efficiently."

Don Amos
Branch Manager When Don Amos
joined Pacific/Hoe in 1994 he brought 20 years of filing room experience with him. He
began his career in the early 1970's and by 1976 had secured a position as Head filer. He
has worked in mills in California, Colorado and Arizona. But after he had the opportunity
to build a mill from the ground up for Southwest forest Industries in Arizona, he has
"had the fever to build mills."
Charles Blackwell
Territory Manager
Charles Blackwell has been serving Pacific/Hoe
customers since 1985 and is a familiar face in filing rooms across Alabama, Mississippi,
Arkansas and Louisiana. He began his career in 1966 at Jackson Sawmill in Jackson,
Alabama.
Other filing room experience includes Macmillan
Bloedel, Inc. of Pinehill, Alabama, Gulf Lumber in Mobile, Alabama, and TR Miller in
Brewton, Alabama.
His in-depth experience in both band and circle
saw operations has made him a capable trouble-shooter in almost any kind of mill. "If
a customer has a problem, they send me in to take care of it," he says, "I like
that." |
