Pacific/Hoe's
new Floating Collar Guide System for the circular head rig was developed in response to
customer requests for ways to reduce kerf and improve cutting accuracy.
The cutting edge is held stable
with two preset 4-3/8" guide pads: One at the normal position; the other on the same
circle approximately 20 inches apart. This placement stabilizes the saw vertically.
The saw is driven by a hub or
collar fitted on a stub arbor. The collar can move sideways freely, so if the saw gets in
a bind, it can move without damaging the blade. The saw will then automatically return to
the cutting position. This concept has been proven successful throughout the industry with
the floating saw collar on edgers.
Our guide is rigidly built using
a preset guide pad that needs no adjustment.
Each guide is custom built to
fit your mill. Most circular head rigs can be fitted with this system. |
