Years of testing and development have given us the experience necessary to being this line of products to market. We use these abrasives in the manufacture of all of our cutting products and can testify that their long lasting durability and faster cutting times are far superior.

Pacific/Hoe answered the need for a better bandsaw gumming wheel with the Hoe-rizon™ wheel. After many years of research we developed a wheel that is extremely fast and minimizes burning in the gullet. The zirconia grain used in the Hoe-rizon wheel has specific gravity and hardness properties which make especially sharp, cool, and free-cutting. The chemical and physical characteristics of the new bond and fillers, in combination with the Zirconia abrasive, produce a wheel with longer life, excellent cutting and superior shape holding qualities. Pacific/Hoe has gone further in creating a premium Hoe-rizon™ Ceramic gumming wheel which is specially formulated for cobalt alloy and flood-cooled grinding. these wheels deliver higher removal rates, cooler grinding, reduced dressing and longer life.

Pacific/Hoe's line of knife grinding cylinder, cup and segmented wheels have be developed specifically for use on wood cutting knife edges. These wheels have been created with a combination of abrasives which have cool cutting properties. These abrasives are used to avoid burning the knives during grinding which could draw out the temper and destroy edge-holding properties.

Pacific/Hoe keeps a variety of sizes and types of grinding wheels as normal stock in our facilities. However, we do not stock every wheel. You should call for availability and delivery information.
